Hovhannes Ghazaryan thanked the President for the reception and briefly spoke about the programs implemented by the foundation. He noted that the Foundation’s team is in Artsakh to participate in the “Planet of Light” Mother and Child Expo to be held in Stepanakert on July 13th with the support of My Step Foundation. Ghazaryan said that the success of the expo in Yerevan in March inspired to organize educational entertaining conference outside Yerevan, and Artsakh was chosen to be the first destination. The Executive director added that the within the expo there will be awareness about the Fund’s Armenia without Plastic Waste Program. “In general, everything we do in Armenia will also be done in Artsakh. In other words, we consider all the residents of Artsakh to be beneficiaries of our programs as well.” Ghazaryan said adding that one of the first steps in this direction is to support the reconstruction of the kindergarten in the Sonasar village of Kashtagh region, the opening ceremony which will take place within the framework of the current visit.

The President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan welcomed the visit of the Fund’s representatives to Artsakh. Highlighting the programs presented, the President underlined the readiness of his and her teammates to support the Fund’s deep understanding of Artakh’s situation and problems. “It is important for us that you master the “pulse” of Artsakh, as having a “pulse” always gives an advantage to those who want to truly benefit the country. It is our wish that our cooperation derives from real life, based on the priorities of The Republic of Artsakh,” said the president.

Within the framework of the visit, the representatives of the fund will meet with potential partners, including government agencies to discuss opportunities to implement the fund’s projects in Artsakh.

After the meeting, the representatives of the fund had a private talk with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport of Artsakh Narine Aghabalyan. During the conversation the Minister presented the problems and achievements of the educational sphere of Artsakh, discussed the possibilities of cooperation within the framework of the program aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle through the renovation of gymnasiums and restrooms in schools and training of specialists in physical education.
