My Step Foundation and The National Center for Sustainable Development Goals will collaborate

Innovative facts and knowledge based solutions will be created within the framework of the signed memorandum.

Today, Executive Director of My Step Charitable Foundation, Hovhannes Ghazaryan and Head of National Innovative Sustainable Development Goals Center Stepan Margaryan signed a Memorandum of Understanding. In the framework of the memorandum, the parties will address five areas (education, culture, environment, health, and social security) and will implement joint innovative projects relying on knowledge based solutions.

"We are signing a Memorandum of Intent with the aim of forming a society where every member takes responsibility for his or her own well-being and public welfare." Executive Director of My Step Foundation Hovhannes Ghazaryan, said at the signing of the ceremony. In the context of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to build a healthy, educated, inclusive society.

Stepan Margaryan, the Head of National Innovation Center for Sustainable Development added “Within a short period of time, our center has managed to create a large portfolio of innovative projects addressing social, environmental and economic challenges. With partnership with My Step Foundation, we will conduct research in each of these five areas to develop solutions that will accelerate the implementation of the 2030 agenda in Armenia”.

The first joint project of the My Step charity foundation and the National Innovation Center for Sustainable Development Goal is already under development and some details will soon be made available to the general public.

The National Innovation Center for Sustainable Development Goals is a joint initiative of the Government of Armenia and the UN supported by UNDP. The Center is a pilot model aimed at accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, which promotes public policy innovation through research and evidence.

My Step Charitable Foundation was established by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia spouse, Anna Hakobyan in June 2018. The Foundation implements long-term programs in the social, health, education, environmental, cultural spheres with the aim of promoting a healthy and inclusive society in Armenia.
