Mkhitar Hayrapetyan - Executive Director of My Step Foundation

Former RA Minister of Diaspora Mkhitar Hayrapetyan was elected executive director by the council.

The board of trustees of “MY STEP” Foundation has elected former RA Minister of Diaspora and former member of Parliament Mkhitar Hayrapetyan to be its executive director.

Anna Hakobyan, chairman of the board, thanked the former executive director of the foundation, Lilit Grigoryan, on behalf of the other members of the board for organizing the work of the foundation during the difficult postwar period․

Biography of Mkhitar Hayrapetyan

He was born in 1990 on May 15 in Yerevan

Education:

In 2007 he entered the Department of Turkology of the Department of Archaeology at Yerevan State University.

In 2013 he graduated with a master's degree from the same faculty. He was a member of the student council of the student scientific society of the YSU Department of Archaeology.

Work experience:

From 2010-2017, in parallel with his socio-political activities, he worked for several local newspapers as an expert on the Middle East, particularly Turkey.

From 2011 to 2015 he founded the organization "Association of Young Politicians". In April, he served as vice president of the organization.

In 2016, he was the founding president of the “Center for Civic Education and Youth Development”

2018-2019 Was RA Minister of Diaspora.

2019-2021 he was a deputy of the RA National Assembly of the 7th convocation and the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports of the National Assembly.

He has been president of the Yerevan Chess Federation since October 17, 2019.
