The Board noted with satisfaction the growth of trust in the Foundation due to its professional approach, accountability and public importance of the projects.
The Executive Director of the Foundation Hovhannes Ghazaryan presented the Board the completed, ongoing and planned projects. The achievements of 2019 included awarding 48 scholarships for studying abroad professions deriving from the priorities of Armenia’s sustainable development, launching the reconstruction of Meghri Community Kindergarten, co-financing the “Hayreniqi Pashtpani” (Homeland Defender) Rehabilitation Center, preparing the launch of the Poverty Reduction Program in Artsakh, supporting classical music organizations and promoting development projects in the field, backing Silk Note festival dedicated to the development of cultural tourism and more.
It was reaffirmed that the Foundation will continue to implement projects in the fields of public health, education, culture, environment and social affairs. For 2020 the Board prioritized "Promoting Healthy Lifestyle in Public Schools" and "Reviving Cultural Centers in the Regions of Armenia” programs, which include renovation, (re)equipment, and human resources capacity building components.
Overall, it has been noted that the planned projects should be aimed at proportional development of Armenia, capacity building and providing equal opportunities.
The Board once again acknowledged the role of all donors, supporters and partners in the Foundation's work for the sake of building a happier Armenia.
