The reconstruction of My Way Recovery Center features a brand new building courtesy of My Step Foundation.

The foundation supported the renovation and reconstruction of the new building, providing funding totaling around $30,000. Anna Hakobyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees for My Step Foundation and Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Executive Director of the Foundation, were both in attendance of the opening ceremony which took place on September 28.

The newly opened building will serve to host various creative outreach groups that will help teenagers and young adults acquire more artistic skills including paper production, preparing postcards, painting, pottery, dance, singing, cooking, piano lessons and others. In addition, programs in computer literacy and gardening will also be included at the Center.

We are pleased to also note that the renovation of the new building has also motivated the development of the center and has improved their resources to support children with autism. Recently, benefactor Karen Vardanyan graciously donated brand new equipment to the center so that specialists are able to help children and young adults in the Recovery Center to maintain their physical health.

On October 22, My Way Recovery Center handed over certificates of appreciation to benefactor Karen Vardanyan, Hovhannes Ghazaryan, and member of parliament from "My Step" alliance Narek Mkrtchyan for their support in the center’s development and their commitment to positive contributions to the lives of young children with autism.

We believe that through joint efforts, it is possible to achieve tangible results in the development of an inclusive society and capacities for children with special needs.
