A Bridge Between Need and Opportunity. Three Pianos Head to Different Regions

27 June, 2019
One of My Step Foundation’s three key models of operation is to bridge the gap between resources and needs. The donation of three pianos to three regional educational institutions is a typical example of this model's implementation.

The story began when Disapora-Armenian businessman Sargis Kazanjyan expressed readiness to donate three electronic pianos to My Step Foundation. At the discretion of the donor, the Foundation would donate the appropriate organizations in need of the instrument.

As a result of discussions, it was decided that the pianos would go to Ijevan Kindergarten No. 8, Armavir Primary School No. 10, and Armavir Community Kindergarten. The Foundation took into account the partner organizations’ recommendations and their effective cooperation with mentioned institutions, as well as the surveys and observations of the Foundations staff while making decision on distribution of pianos. The recipients of the pianos were selected from regional institutions as it is very important for the Foundation to contribute to creating equal opportunities for children throughout Armenia.

It is also noteworthy that the donor personally delivered the musical instruments, arranged them personally, and witnessed the excitement of the people receiving the gifts. We thank you for the heartfelt and meaningful donation.
